Studio- apartment

This is a project for a one-bedroom studio apartment in the Krasnaya Presnya district in Moscow. The customers bought this apartment for their son, a high school graduate and future university student.

First of all, we wanted to equip the space in a functional and modern way, but still leave some trace of the history of the house itself, built in the 50s.

So, we took the “English herringbone” parquet layout as a basis and laid out the floor covering with engineered boards. We repeated this pattern on the walls of the bathroom, laying out the English Christmas tree with Equipe tiles in the shower area and above the sink.
Special attention was paid to the sleeping area, separating it with a glass partition. A shelving unit with open and closed shelves was installed above the bed.

A common area with a sofa and TV is in the open space along with the kitchen. The TV wall is finished with Orac panels with gradient colors in the same tone as the wallpaper in the sleeping area. We used gradient painting for both the kitchen splashback walls and the beam walls in the common area of the room.
